Defending the President is defending Italy

In a genuine democracy, the President of the Republic embodies not only the face of constitutional order but also the emblem of national unity.

Sergio Mattarella, despite being subject to internal criticism, which is the salt of democracy, represents something greater: Italian sovereignty and the unity of our people.

When a foreign power attacks the figure of the President, it is not simply a personal affront; it is a direct attack on our sovereignty, national pride and the dignity of every Italian citizen.

Defending the President of the Republic ultimately means defending Italy itself, its democratic institutions, the Flag and the Fatherland, beyond any political opinion or party line-up.

Siding with President Mattarella is not only an act of respect, but an affirmation of Italy’s dignity and credibility on the international stage.

Disagreeing with the choices or the political line of the Head of State is not only legitimate but also essential for a healthy democratic debate. However, the line between constructive internal debate and interference or humiliation by an external entity is clear and unequivocal.

The attack by a foreign state on the President of the Republic cannot be seen as anything other than an attempt to undermine the authority and integrity of our institutions. At such times, silence is not an option for true Italian patriots.

We therefore strongly reiterate: solidarity with the President of the Republic. Long live Italy.
